About Audubon International

Audubon International is a not-for-profit, 501(c)(3), environmental education organization dedicated to educating, assisting, and inspiring millions of people from all walks of life to protect and sustain the land, water, wildlife, and natural resources around them.

What we do
  • Engage people and organizations in good environmental stewardship and sustainable resource management through education and certification programs.

  • Work with land owners, developers, planners, and architects to design and build new developments in concert with the natural landscape, water resources, and significant environmental features of the site to be developed.

  • Spearhead sustainable community initiatives and collaborative strategic planning with local governments and communities.

  • Lead the Golf and the Environment Initiative, a partnership with the golf industry, universities, and other organizations focused on improving the nature of the game of golf and serving as a model for change in other business sectors.

  • Educate the general public about the need for all citizens to practice good environmental stewardship and contribute to a more sustainable future.

Audubon International engages people at various points along a continuum from individual stewardship action to property level environmental management to community-wide involvement to achieve a more environmentally sustainable future rooted in the natural environment.  Programs emphasize local participation and focus on voluntary actions that go beyond legal and regulatory compliance.
